Monarch's nursery

A cluster of butterfly weed blossoms shine alongside a recreational trail on an early summer morning. Butterfly weed play an important role in nature; they are a key species for pollinators, attracting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. They also serve as a nursery for caterpillars which transform themselves into monarch butterflies.
